History | Copacabana from La Paz, Full Day

Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun)

Isla del Sol is considered the cradle of the Inca civilization, a sacred place where, according to legend, the god Inti was born. Its ancient trails, agricultural terraces, and millennia-old ruins combine with dreamlike landscapes, and walking among its communities and observing the lake from above is a spiritual and energizing experience.

Moon Island

Smaller and quieter than Sun Island, Moon Island is home to one of the most important temples of the ancient Inca Empire: the Temple of the Virgins of the Sun, where the chosen “Acllas” lived. It is a place full of mysticism and peace, ideal for those seeking history in a quiet, natural setting.
